The municipality of Rezekne organises a humanitarian shipment for Ukraine this week

The municipality of Rēzekne has received a personal call from the municipality of Mikggirya (Міжгір 'я) in the Zakarpatia region. The mižgirja is located in the west of Ukraine, approximately 120 km from the Slovak-Hungarian border. There is no war in the miggiria, so that municipality is actively involved in providing aid to the Ukrainian regions that have been in the war epicentre and where the people have lost all their lives in the bombs.

We call on citizens to be involved in the collection of donations! We wait until Friday, 18 March, evening. In each parish and Viļānu, donation points are set up where you can deliver your donation. It is planned that the car with our total donations on the way to Ukraine will go to the beginning of the next week.

Necessary help:

1. Household articles: sleeping bags, carpets, child beds, pocket lamps, chargers (power Bank);
2. Personal hygiene goods: soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes, toilet paper, damp napkins, women's hygiene goods, washing powder, napkins for children and older people, other first aid and necessity goods;
3. Garment (men, women and children): Termowear, underwear, stockings, T-shirts and other clothing, footwear;
4. Food products: flour, yeast, oil, cereal products, preserved foods, pasta, baby and baby foods (formula), dry food (mild/fast food) etc.;
5. Electric generators (petrol, diesel), knee cushions, night vision devices, heat receivers, binoculars.

! You can carry your donations in cardboard boxes, because it is in cardboard boxes that you will then pack the donated things and products.

! The food must have a durability and label as long as possible. Unfortunately, it is not possible to send at home for the time being.

! Let us respect the people we donate – we ask to bring clean, unworn and that time to the seasonal.
