The municipality of Rezekne continues to admit refugees
More than 220 refugees from Ukraine are currently residing in the municipality of Rezekne, mostly women with children. Almost half of them are in Adamov (in the premises of the former boarding school), the rest – in the guest houses “Green Island”, “Ezerkrasti”, “svilpaunieki”, “Villa Rosa”, “at Kaupra”, “vines” and elsewhere, as well as to relatives or friends.
By the beginning of that week, ten agreements had been concluded between the local government with guest houses on the accommodation of refugees and six contracts for the provision of catering. In the meantime, the costs of residence and catering are borne by the local government, but the regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers (CABINET of MINISTERS) provide that this financing will be returned to the local government from unforeseen cases of the State budget.
At present, the accommodation facilities of refugees are sufficient, but if the bloody war launched by Russia continues and refugee flows to Latvia increase, more accommodation may be necessary, so we are invited to refer to the housekeepers of the Guesthood of Rezekne who are prepared to accommodate refugees. Call for call: 20228843 (Andris Stafeckis).
