The Rēzekne municipality mentions THE tragedy events OF Audriņu
On January 4, a tragedy OF Audriņu is mentioned in the Rēzekne municipality. Today, in BOTH THE Audriņu village and the killing sites in Anchupan, the Anchupan Memorandum was organized by remarks, during which everyone could set flowers and burn the candle.
The terrible events took place during the Second World War, when the local population was arrested on January 2, 1942, in the winter of winter, to be shot, while the village itself was burned to the foundations. According to the sources of history, the reason for such action was the willingness of Nazi to punish THE inhabitants OF Audriņu for the fact that in a house in the Audrowos, the red arcs escaped from the camp of Rezekne's prisoners were hidden. In the next two days, more than 200 Audriņu people were killed in the Anchupan forest, both old and small children. In this tragedy, he was lucky for those who were not in THE village OF Audriņu on the fatal day.
14. The Saeima deputy Anna Rancāne, who had also arrived at the event, stressed that the tragic events that took place in 1942, when Audriņu in the village and Anchupans were not quiet, but the shots and the prayers of the people were in particular. The Member called on everyone to think about the value of life and remember that there is no peace in Europe too, when the lives of people are destroyed in Ukraine.
