The idea of the Baltic jazz festival AT Lūznavas in Manor began in September 2018 when Jānis Ivanova Rēzekne's music secondary school was formed by a jazz music division, which was managed by jazz musician, composer Tom Lipsky. He had the idea of making a jazz festival at Luznava when he started his work in Latgale, taking the artistic leadership of the future festival. In the summer of 2018, AT THE END OF the Lūznavas “Kulturys škiuni”, two concert programmes took place in the festival of the jazz festival, marking the time and place of the festival. Unfortunately, in the autumn, Tom went prematurely, but by honouring his work and sending the festival to his memory, the motto “continued!” “In August 2019, THE first Baltic jazz festival“ Skiun jazz ”was held at Lūznavas Manor. The festival's ideas and start-ups continue and for the fifth time, together with THE Lūznavas manor team, the festival's artistic leader, trombonist, active and experienced jazz musician Lauris Ainvs is maintained. This year will be a follow-up to the ideas that have begun, a continuation of jazz music in Latgale, a continuation of the experience of the experienced jazz musicians to young musicians.
