Social Services Centre created in Saxagala

Sakstagala parish implemented the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) project No 14-01-LL23-l413101-000010 - “Establishment of a social service centre in Sakstagala parish”. It was implemented by the association “Sakstagala parish” women's club “Ivea” “the diversification of the rural economy and the promotion of quality of life in the area of implementation of local development strategies”, in activity “Purchase and installation of equipment, machinery, equipment, information technology and programme collateral, creation of infrastructure for the availability, quality and reach of services at the place of provision of services for local residents”. The project was presented at the disposal of the Development Strategy of the Rēzekne District Communities “Provision of access to social services (creation of day centres, laundry, internet access point, crisis centre, creation of various social service points, etc.).
The aim of the project is to promote the improvement of the quality of life of Sakstagala village and parish residents by contributing to the establishment of a social service point. In the course of the project, 2 washing machines, laundry machine, Ironing System with ironing board, Ironing System, 2 sewing machines, sewing machine-overarc and portable computer, will be purchased, it will be necessary for the staff of the centre, such as writing other projects or learning from the video instructions available on the Internet, how to fit, embed, repair clothes, etc.
The total amount of the project is EUR 2539,99, with public funding of EUR 2150,71. Co-financing of EUR 389.28 WAS provided by the Sakstagala parish administration of Rezekne.
