In the last three years, the municipality of Rezekne has established municipal waste collection points in 24 parishes (a closed-type sorting container for paper, plastic, metal and glass).

What is the benefit of sorting municipal waste?

4) make the environment and the environment more beautiful, without any bottles of polyethylene jammed on the roadside or in bushes.
An area for the acceptance of sorted waste located in the territory of the landfill site “Križeviks” (Ozolaines civil parish) is also established in the municipality of Rezekne. For the acceptance of sorted waste, there are publicly available specially labelled metallic 1.1 m3 containers intended for the collection of sorted waste. In this area, the end-of-life tyres (five clean tyres 2 times per year), polyethylene film, large-size wood waste (old furniture), waste electrical and electronic equipment in unmixed form (e.g. TV, faeces, computers, etc.) can also be transferred free of charge. Construction waste is accepted as a fee.
