“SCREEN” gets the highest rank in the competition “voices”
On 9 March, the Rēzekne municipality went to Lephans to participate in the vocal music competition “voices”. As a result of a targeted work, the Rēzekne municipality, “Skonai” (manager Guntra Kuzmina), won the highest rank, while Dricānu High School's “rainbow” (leader Gunita Dzerkale – Red) ii diploma.
The ensembles performed one Latvian Song/apdari a Capella and one Latvian author of the original songs or Latvian people's songs, using modern means of expression.
The organiser of the competition “votes” is a national education content centre, which aims to promote collective creative activities, growth and development of children and young people, to deepen the knowledge of children and young people about Latvian people's songs and to promote the acquisition and expansion of the repertoire of a new, artistic high-value and creative vocal ensemble.
The jury was composed of five professional professionals in the Commission – agra Berzins (Deputy Head of the National Centre for Education), Nora Vītiņa (member of the group “Latvian Voice”, Coru Manager), Andris Sējāns (artist, musician, producer and conductor), Mārīte Purina (music pedagogy, head of the vocal group Anima Solla ", Latvian vocal association expert), and Antra Strikaite (Deputy Director of the National Centre for Education and Training of the National Education Centre, project manager).
It was also a joy for the actors who took all the participants in the competition with chocolate cheeses. A unique X and XI Latvian Song and Dance Celebration of the People's Music concert was given a unique book of the Latvian Schools of Latvian Schools “so that the clubs are far-reaching.”
