“Sonai” soldiers plot the laurus into the international competition in Daugavpils

On May 16, Rēzekne's provincial school “Skonai” solicitors went to international children's and youth music competition “Daugavpils pearl”. Karina Seile - Zundane won 2 nd place, Martha Paula Seyne 3 rd place, and Guntars Poplavskis - diploma. The main objective of the competition is the revelation and promotion of the talent of young eworking songs, the promotion of creative dialogue in intercountry music culture. More than 80 singers from Finland, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus and Latvia participated in the competition.
The competition took place in 3 stages. In the first round, a selection of tenders was carried out on the basis of the material sent. The second round - the semi-final took place from early morning and the finalists were announced only in the evening. With pride, all the Skonai soldiers got into and fought in the final. The participants played two songs – one in the language of their country, the other – a choice song. The soldiers were valued by professional jury – musicians and vocal teachers from Latvia, Belarus, Finland and Lithuania.
It is a pleasure that the creative brightness of the Rēzekne municipality's vocal studio “Skonai” will also burn in Daugavpils, Daugava krasti.
