Among the winners of the competition “singer – 2013”, the artist Arthur Tobs is also the leader of Rezekne.
On Friday, October 25, in Riga, in the renewed cultural castle “northern blow”, Agriculture Minister Laimdota Straujuma welcomed the winners of the competition “singer – 2013” and the beneficiaries of ageing prizes – farmers, rural entrepreneurs, minors and scientists in agriculture. Similarly, at the time of the event, the award was awarded in the nomination of the award for “a lifelong contribution to agriculture”. This year, the names of the winners, silver medal, diplomas and prizes were awarded in ten nominations of the competition. In the nomination of the laureate names “young successful farmer” received the Rēzekne municipality's Lūznavas parish farm owner Arthur Tobs.
The winner's title in the competition group “animal husbandry” was awarded to Smiltenes municipality's farm “Kalatini 1” and its leader Kasparam Putralis, while the group “crop production” was awarded only promotion prizes. In the competition group “Agricultural Co-operative”, the “Straupe” co-operative society “Straupe” has been recognised as the best known Latvian dairy cooperatives, its manager Imants pigeis.
In the competition group “Rural Development Project in Agriculture”, the name of the laureate was acquired by Tukums Municipality SIA “Lestene” and its manager Egils Seņkans, in the competition group “Rural Development Project in Innovation” – Talsi municipality, the individual merchant “Caprine” and its manager Kristine drip and competition group “Rural Development Project in Food Production” – Dobeles District company “Dobeles Dzirnavnieks” and its manager Kristaps Amsils. In the nomination “Year LEADER Group”, the Jelgava Rural Partnership “Lielupe” of Jelgava is recognised as the best local action group, the leader of which is League Squanberga. On the other hand, in the competition group “family in rural area” this year, the winner of the laureate was acquired by the farm “Zundi” of the Dagda municipality, which is owned by the Vaichuu family.
The name “tomorrow's singer – a member of a small circle” was acquired by the Auces District 53. Christine Dombrovskis is a member of the Penkule. This year Ilmārs Dukulis is recognised as the best scientist for rural development, developing a promotional work “Use of rapeseed oil fuel in diesel and logistics”, the head of scientific work is Professor Gints Birzietis.
The award for “life in agriculture” is awarded this year to the zootechnician Valdai Jakovič, who has devoted his work life to dairy farming, promoting the development of the dairy industry and the Latvian brown cow variety. The award prizes and diplomas were generally received by 22 participants in all contest groups.
The award of the competition “singer” has become one of the most important measures for farmers, while the name of the laureate “singer” is a sign of the evidence of the work.
