THE Latgale branch calls for reference to the negative and A-razus donors of the positive blood groups

The National Blood Centre Latgale branch in Rēzekne, 18 November Street 41, calls for relatives to refer to the negative and A scar donors of the positive blood groups.
Every day, donors are taken IN Latgale branch, SIA “Rezekne Hospital” premises, 4 th floor. It is also possible to donate blood at Latgale branch offices, the schedule of exits is to be viewed on the WEBSITE – www.donors.lv - under the heading “exits and places of donation”.
Last year in Latvia 31245 unique blood donations donated 52001 once, which is by 2297 times more than a year before. 6675 donors have donated blood for the first time, the average age of the first donor is 29.8 years. More than half, 53.471 TP1T, are women and 46.531 TP1T men. In Latgale branch, last year donors donated 7546 times, which is 164 times more than a year before.
Blood can be donated if:

  • Be 18-65 years old
  • Weighing not less than 50 kg
  • Do not drink alcohol on the day before the donation
  • Have eaten, sleep, rest, feel good!
  • You're healthy and haven't been sick lately
  • Before you have used healthy food and a lot of fluid
  • You have not donated blood for at least 9 weeks and have not done so 4 times in the 12-month period (applies to women) or 6 times (applies to men who should follow a 3-month break after 6 times).

Recommendations before blood donation:

  • 3 – 4 hours before the procedure is recommended for mild food and additional fluid intake (approximately four glasses of water or juice etc.). The blood of the empty stomach must not be donated!
  • At least 2-3 hours before the procedure should not be Smoked because you will have a better feeling of self-sufficiency during and after the procedure, as well as more quality blood components. Oxygen levels in the blood are reduced by 15%. It refers to the entire metabolism of the body and the quality of the blood.

Recommendations following blood donation:

  • The sterile dressing should be kept on the hand for at least 2-3 hours to avoid subcutaneous haemorrhage or inflammation that can be caused by dust and micro-organisms in the environment. The venous puncture site should not be soaked and soaked. The bandage must not be relaxed or tightened if a new dressing is required, a clean gauze link must be used.
  • Not less than 15 minutes must be inflated.
  • It is not desirable to drive a vehicle for two hours.
  • Do not bring the bag to the hand from which the blood was taken.
  • You don't need to work hard physical work, get out, don't run, get heavy objects, don't swim, and don't jump.
  • At least 12 hours after donation of blood, no increased hazard works may be performed: to carry passengers, operate an aeroplane, train, work at altitudes etc.
