Language festival Maltas at the centre of children and young people
“Through the language, a man with a man is, through language, a man of his mind,”“It was once said by a lawyer, Alunans, whose birthday, on 13 May, the day of our national language has been celebrated since 2012. So to get acquainted with people who walk past our daily haste, as well as to reveal something new in our language fortune, the Rēzekne municipality, in a group of Maltas children and youth centre journalism, was condemned to“ celebrate your language! ”.
The preparation started in the past, as the first task was quite time-consuming – the creation of the “domino” of the Latvian language: children from different sources chose, in their opinion, the most serious nouns and adjectives whose writing poses problems and, to be recognised, not only for children but also for adults. Then the cardboard cards and the words on them were created together. As a result, a 40 × 40 word filename - a game that was first seen in a event on May 10 and will be used in a cluster work, holidays, to strengthen the spelling knowledge, as well as in other activities such as the silent show, because when you bend these words together, all original word connections occur.
As one of the words of Jura Alunan in our language is “teacher”, THEN, on a meeting and interview, Maltas high school teachers of Latvian language are invited, which our language helps to know THE BJC journalism cluster girls, these are – Skaidritte Babre (primary school) and Inese Greiža (the secondary school), who, in the form of a lottery, became the pillars of two teams in a journey along “the field of language miracles”. As a result, Skaidrice worked with Evie Lebanon, Vita Tarasica and Inesi Keidans, while Inese, with Daniel Lozd, John Flower and BJC Methodic Intu Buli.
The 20 sections of the miracle showed the team's knowledge of our language, there were both “questions”, “dough”, and interesting “Latvian and Latvian language words”. As the “miracle field” is due, the field “prize”, which practically allowed all the details of the language to be used. But most delighted the section “celebrating language”, in which the two teams sang the dedication to Latvian: the teacher's Skaidrite team singing a “clear volute” (in Latgalian language), while the teacher Inese – the “mother tongue” of the group “Gulves”!
It should be noted that the Latin language was accentuated as an integral part of our national language. But the Latgalians themselves have a secret, though in this event the teams knew what “nineapple” (Cornflower), “puzzle” (game), and, without much thinking, replied that the word “Latgalian” had been introduced by Francis Kemps.
The fun was produced by one square on the wheel – “Oi, minus 5 points!”, adjusting the number of points made by the teams every time. But at the end of the game, teachers had the opportunity to improve the situation because they had to mention the name of a popular children's toy in Latvia individually by calling letters. It must be said that only in the last letters from 12 teacher Inese mentioned that it was “a parking lot” (a toy that rolls around the floor, Russian in Nevillaska). The active part of the event was concluded with the “Alunanic TOP 10” clearance. The most common words are: resurrection, humanity, beauty, poetry, fun, cotton, storage, writer, greenhouse, teacher.
In addition, the participants of the event were offered opinion materials – the thoughts and knowledge of Jura Alunana, as well as “pearls” from pupils' domains. The fact that our language is full of beauty, miracles and weeds was also confirmed by the handouts in which the teacher was amused by some errors in the “proofing routine” (such as “dry dog feed”, “unenclosed lexical epitetes”, “management of diarrhoea”, “BIO children's puree”, etc.). In order for students to be better placed in the spell, as a prize, each member of the team received the small assistant – the “Latvian language”, while the teachers were given both read-only gifts and BJC children's business and a special respect card “BJC honorary guest”.
In addition, the participants of the event were offered opinion materials – the thoughts and knowledge of Jura Alunana, “pearls” from pupils' domains and the “language” of the Mara Cieslow poem, which prints the walls of the organizer's event. In the design of the rooms, special thanks to the 7 th-class girls Angelina Filatovai and lanai Delikatnais, as well as to Janis Flower (class 8).
It is true that the celebration of language allowed students and teachers to meet in an informal atmosphere, as well as to learn something new about our language. Thank teachers for their responsiveness, openness and active participation! After the event, there was a real sense of satisfaction: the fact that he managed to stay at different levels of language in such a short time, and, with the teachers, the people who were trying to get the children of the 21 st century to learn and learn the language of their country. This measure also reminded us that every one of us affects the language of the language, ranging from pre-school and to teachers and other professions. Each our submission, a letter, a text message can be both a stain and a pretty embroidery in our language tablecloth! Let us do everything so that the Latvian language is an ornate world table at which people of different nationalities sit! To succeed!
