Christmas waiting time activities at Jaunjjan elementary school
As the year's lightning festival was expected, a variety of Christmas events took place at the New Jerusalem primary school, which moved and pleased both big and small.
Every year, at the time of the arrival of Adventa, the New Junior School is organized by an exhibition of the Adventa's crown, to which children bring self-made Christmas-time symbols. This year there was an exhibition of pupils' self-made trees. Children used a variety of natural materials, paper, even popcorn and various techniques to produce Christmas trees. The trees like the crown of the first floor of the school, creating a beautiful and peculiar design of the room.
As well as other years, this year, Maris Laureckis had blessed both the great Chief of the school and all the others who had arrived. In this way, the blessing of the prāvesta came into the school building and was taken home with the children of the children. In his speech, he told the people about the importance of the time of the Adventa and wished every time to bring peace, quiet reflection, hope and commitment to do good jobs and to bring true joy to the people.
Charity Week
This year, a new activity was carried out at the school – a charity week, during which students prepared congratulations and made gifts for those people who had to spend their lifetime in a homeland. The group of children, together with their educators, went to Pilcene's old people's home to enjoy the old people living there with their predecessors. The 5 th class singing quartet spoke with three songs, a musical performances (acordeone, vijole, flute), dedicated to students of classes 3, 5 and 7, who also studied at the Rēzekne children's music school. Students of classes 1-2 spoke Christmas poems, the dramatic group of Classes 2-4 showed a ridiculous lug about the scopy aunt who didn't want to wait for Christmas. The children asked the dough, and it must be said that the old people were very skilled and perpetrators. For every correct answer, the participants received a delicious prize, chocolate sweets. More people were involved in shared toys, within the limits of their opportunities.
The children, together with the class educators, Janina Bikovsk, Vandu Kebi and Margaret Bondarenko, had prepared the old people for sweet peppers, self-baked apple pies and self-made large sweets containing both chocolate sweets and peppercakes. Classes 3 and 6 were most involved in candy business. The loving Christmas gifts that traveled to the Sherjan old people's home were also made up of other classes.
The event took place at the end of the event. Although the whole event did not take more than an hour, it was a good emotion and a heart-filled moment. Tears were touched by the tears in the eyes of the old people. It was the most sincere thanks to him and a huge satisfaction to us. The charity event once affirmed that giving a good word, thought, and love from heart to heart is the most blessed work we can do.
Christmas fair
The traditional Miķelday market is now also joined by Christmas Markets, which took place on 15 December. Children's responsiveness was quite large. A symbolic price could be bought not only by delicacy, but also by Christmas greeting cards, self-made spruce decorations, decorations, knitted gloves and socks. There was a lot of sellers and a lot of buyers. In less than an hour, all the benefits were sold. Both sides were satisfied, sellers for their “profits”, buyers for their purchases and other loving Christmas time.
