Knowledge Day Maltas and Kaunatas in secondary school
Gorgeous autumn flowers, smiles and good wishes, national anthem and solemn speeches, revival joy and sadness after summer, but over everything, a new, beautiful start. As always, this year, it was a day of knowledge in the schools of Rezekne. Although in many places in Europe the first day of the school year is not very much different from ordinary daily, it is still a festive day in Latvia, both with the feeling of homelessness and family, and with pride of belonging to their country.
According to the preliminary data of the Ministry of Education and Science (IZM), on September 2, 2019, approximately 215 000 pupils started the new school year, while in Rezekne municipality, the school bench was seated by 2050 pupils (1884 in general educational schools and 200 Rezekne municipality in the special primary school), among them 170 pre-graduates, while the 10 th class training started young 97 secondary students. Traditionally, each pre-klayer received a donation of the municipality of Rezekne in the value of 21 euros – a knapsack with teaching aids.
Rēzekne's largest – Maltas secondary schools – 469 pupils were gathering in the school yard for a solemn moment. In the summer, the hot sun shone in the brighter of 45 pre-chunks with golden balloons in their hands. AT Maltas High School this year there will be three classes of First Class A, c and b in which the minority education programme will be implemented. The students of the school, Vinera Deme, head of the municipality OF Rēzekne, head of the MUNICIPALITY of Rēzekne, Edgars Blinovs, head of THE Maltas parish administration, Vitalijs ants, head of the Rēzekne municipality's educational administration Guntars ants, as well as Rosentova Roman Catholic parish council Rinalds Broks, who emphasized the lesser thought of the day – called for each of the pupils not to be afraid to stand out – with their own knowledge, skills, talent, teachers – to stand out with erudition and attractiveness. “This new school year is the blessing of God, because the school educates the mind, but God is the one who educates the soul!”
While the second largest schools - Kaunatas secondary school 208 students, this school year is particularly delighted because the new, long-awaited stadium was received, which also took place at the celebration day event. IN THE Kaunatas secondary school this year, 18 pre-graduate students will be training, 13 of them will be in Latvian, while five children will implement a minority education programme in training. The school director Alīna Gendele and THE head of THE Kaunatas parish parish, Sergei Bashmakov, were welcome to each of them. Each felt appalled and awaited, the pre-graders and their big friends, the upcoming graduates, like movie stars, even covered with the red carpet.
The head of the Rēzekne municipality, Guntars ants, admitted that he had always felt like a student at this school because his own 1 September had been called. It should be added that Guntar's youngest daughter, this year, started the school. In his congratulations, THE scholar asked the pupils not to be afraid to start. “This secret, how to achieve something big, is quite simple – we need to start!”.
AT Kaunatas, Deputy Director of High School, Ināra Paramonova, invited students not to be afraid of dreaming. “Each child is the miracle of the parents, each pupil being the miracle behind the teachers.” Dreaming, realize your dreams, help each other, and don't be afraid to ask for help for class members, teachers, parents! 'The young kittens, in their hands, formed a close circle around the stadium and, after the invitation of the sports teacher Edgar Teivan, agreed to be active, participate in sports hours and other sports events, prove that Kaunatas young people were the best and can preserve, sacrifice and fill this new, excellent stadium with sporting activities.
As a result of the beginning of the new school year, a gradual transition to teaching in the official language has also started in Latvia. As from 1 September of that year, three national language usage proportions are gradually offered in primary education in the acquisition of minority education programmes, from which the educational institution has to select one in accordance with the priorities set out in its development plan. As recognised BY Kaunatas High School Director Alīna Gendele, a model of 50: 50 is selected for the implementation of the national minority education programme AT Kaunatas, and it will require great responsibility and thorough work for teachers. Responsibility – this key word when starting the new school year, Alīna Gendele emphasized especially because the responsibility of pupils is to realise that the development of their knowledge, skills and talents is key to the search for future life, that it will depend not only on their own but also on the welfare of the whole country. The responsibility of teachers is the challenge of creativity through the introduction of new competences as well as the gradual transition to teaching in the language of the country.
The silver-scandalous new school year was ringed in all 17 schools in Rezekne. AT Maltas high school, the decorated school call was entrusted to the pre-grader Daniel Gromoor and the 12 th grade school student Armands Tashkan. For a beautiful start, a beautiful and crowded follow-up!
