Education

It is a long-awaited school year in our renowned, beautiful high school. When they meet in the solemn line, teachers, 17 children of pre-school age, students who are 162 and older that year, are all overcrowded with new ideas and expectations. With us, there was also the chairman OF the Rēzekne District Council, Monvīds Švarcs and Silmalas parish management head Eduards Grisublonks, who congratulated everyone on the beginning of the new school year, enjoyed success and even prepared sweet gifts: children in ice cream and teachers.
In the course of the event there was a solemn speech, lyric songs and poems about school. An unforgettable performance was prepared by 18 pre-graders, of course with the help of his first teacher Galina Jugunov. The festival's heroes Barmolejs, the doctor, and the tall of the house, Kuzia, also came to the festival. All these images made them laugh and invited them to participate in the prepared games.
This year has brought significant changes to our school life – the permanent school director Victor Kovaov has decided to leave his position. Our big school family was very upset about the news. During a solemn event with flowers, we all thanked Victor for his hard work and his valuable contribution to school life. We very much hope that Viktor will continue to give us clever advice and support school in difficult times. A new school director, Olga Missevich, will continue his good work.
This year, a number of innovations, including English-language lessons from First Class, are foreseen in the High School of Tiskers, similar to those in other schools in Rezekne. The first classes of lessons will take place in a playful atmosphere, once a week, while second-class students will begin to visit the pool from October, where they can learn to swim or improve their swim skills.
More possibilities open in front of high school students. They will become the leader of the “League!” project, where they will be able to learn the foundations of entrepreneurship. Secondary school students will have the opportunity to attend an optional “tractor training” where Mikhail Šemeuzva will be guided by the principles of driving the tractor.
This year's graduates are very lucky because they will be given the opportunity to learn and obtain a category B driving licence. The municipality of Rēzekne has decided to cover the costs relating to the receipt of the rights.
Our school will also work with interest education groups, including a young group, “Ekoskola”, where students will learn more about the ecological situation in Latvia and around the world. There will also be a loving singing, dancing and sports club.
We want to wish everyone in this school year success, resilience, luck and joy.
