Honored Rēzekne's most talented pupils
On 14 May, the most talented children and young people, their parents and teachers gathered in the municipality of Rezekne to receive awards for high success and outstanding achievements in the 2014/2015 school year. As the Deputy Managing Authority of the municipality of Rezekne HAS told Vilis Deksnis, this year, the performance took place in a much broader range: “so far, for several years, we have welcomed intellectuals or the highest-winners of national-level Olympics and scientific research work, but that year we are also honouring students who have made excellent progress in other directions: music, visual and applied art, as well as sport.”
For a second year, the parents of pupils, whose contribution to children's growth is invaluable, were invited and welcomed to the celebration event. “Children, teachers and parents — you are like a team where each member is equally important,” said the President of the Rēzekne council AT Monvīds Švarcs. It is important for children to be targeted and gifted, and it is also important that students have excellent teachers who are able to find and clean up the individual talents of each child and are equally important to support from parents who could be referred to as children's coaches, judges and team managers in sports terminology. If all the members of this team are working in a coherent and cohesive manner, excellent achievements are secured! '
“Heart!” Responsible parents, smart pupils and excellent teachers are our pride. There is a feeling that we are all together like one powerful family, who is in the hands of everything, and who can achieve this impossible, "said Lily Zukovsky, head of the educational administration.“ It is true that we can bring together so many talented children, ”said the Executive Director of Rezekne, Jānis Troška,“ and we can be proud of the success of our pupils at both national and international level. ”The vice-president of the Rēzekne council, Elhusband Pizāne, was also joining the greetings, wishing to see more chakens and clever pupils next year.
Thanks for their work, knowledge and achievements, both pupils and their teachers received books and money prizes. The total of talented pupils and their teachers is EUR 1900.
