On February 11, the annual LIFE programme INFO day will be held
On February 11, entrepreneurs, local government representatives, representatives of non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders are invited to THE LIFE INFO Day, where information regarding the possibilities of attracting the EUROPEAN Union support programme LIFE co-financing in Latvia will be available! The event will be held at the premises of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, floating on street 25, Riga, 4 th floor.
This measure is intended for those who have not been familiar with THE LIFE programme so far, so that the measure will provide information on the objectives of THE LIFE Programme, the opportunities, conditions and project preparation process. Similarly, it will be possible to learn more about the priority areas of THE LIFE programme, project types, funding opportunities and reception process.
LIFE is a European Union Programme for the Protection of Natural and Environmental Protection and Climate Change, with the help of which many environmental quality projects have been implemented in Latvia, such as the production of alternative biofuel from grassland biomass and restoration of forest habitats in the Gauja National Park.
With the support of THE LIFE Programme, entrepreneurs can develop innovative products, improve the quality of production and resource efficiency, and replace undesirable chemical compounds with environmentally friendly substitutes in their products. Local governments may also use the support provided BY LIFE through the implementation of projects that reduce environmental impact on infrastructure, inform the public, improve technological processes in the local government or resolve issues related to the environment and climate in other local governments. Representatives of non-governmental organisations and public authorities are invited to explore opportunities to mobilise LIFE co-financing for climate and environmental protection projects.
