On May 4, 100 oaks will be planted in Rezekne municipality
On May 4, on May 4, on the anniversary of the restoration of the independence of the Republic of Latvia, the municipality of Rezekne, along with several decades, will participate in an oak planting stock “100 oak Latgale” dedicated to hundreds of years. On this day, a total of hundreds of oak trees will be planted in 18 municipality parishes. As the head of the cultural division Inara Pleikšne said, the most – 24 – the oak will be planted IN Dricānu parish, creating an alley from the parish centre to Dricānu for the secondary school. “Oak will also be planted in Malta at the home of the cultural house, the writer John Kaco's home in Kantinieku parish, at Pušas church, at Feimaņu lake, the monument TO THE victims of THE tragedy OF Audriņu and elsewhere.”
It should be noted that the planting of the centenary Ozolins in Rēzekne municipality started already on 9 April, when more than 150 talkers participated in the planting of simtozole forest in Lūznavas Manor Park.
