We are invited to open the open doorway at the 36 th Battalion of the National Guard.

26 May, from 9.30 to 16.00, Lūznavas manor park at the 36 th Battalion of the National Guard will open the open door day, in which visitors will be able to observe the militarisation ceremony of the National Guard, participate in militarised relay, see the Military Technics and weapons of the National Guard, as well as enjoy a meal prepared in the field kitchen.

For the fourth time, the National Guard's 36 th Battle Support Battalion organizes militarised relay “reveals Latvian guards!”. They are invited to participate in Latgale secondary schools. During militarised stables, young people have the opportunity to spend time not only in content, knowing but also usefully. These are competitions where different tasks are organised in each of the stations with military orientation. Students will be able to familiarise themselves with the military service in carrying out the following tasks in a number of thematic stations: obstacle route, medicine, history facts, improvised grenades, recognition of military vehicles etc. To participate in competitions, it is necessary to organize a team from eight young people who want to find out something new, examine their erudition and know the special features of the military service.

In parallel with the sporting spirit of the competition, every interested party will have the opportunity to look at military vehicles on the spot. It will also be possible to look closer and explore weapons with which the service is performed on a day-to-day basis and participate in training not only well-trained and trained national guardsmen, but also professional service soldiers.

On the other hand, the leader of Latgale city and municipality municipalities, battalion commander, Colonel Oskars Omuļs will invite visitors to visit an informative meeting organized in THE “cultural shed” OF Lūznavas.

In the framework of open-door events, it is possible to try their forces in activities organised by celebrating the 4 th anniversary of the battalion renewal. This event will be devoted to “the 4 th anniversary of the battalion!” The start of the run will take place at 9.00 Lūznavas in the park area of the park area where the route starts and finishes. As a result of a trace of four kilometres, the participants will receive honorary medal for their participation in the race.

The participants of open-door events and visitors will also be able to observe the celebration ceremony of the new National Guard.

At the end of the day at 15.00 awards of various activities of the activities are planned. The winners of the prizes of militarised stays will receive cups and medals, other teams – promotion prizes. 

After a well-done work and activity in fresh air, pupils will be invited to enjoy a bouquet and warm tea in the soldier's kitchen kitchen.

The National Guard's 36 th Battle Support Battalion is a professional service sub-unit that provides Latvian citizens with two possibilities: becoming soldiers and forming a military career in Latgale, or being a national guardsman and military basic knowledge from work or training in free time.

The professional service sub-unit in the National Guard shall be designed to strengthen the response capacity of the National Armed Forces, to promote effective and comprehensive implementation of national defence tasks in Latgale region in cooperation with other regular forces and National Guard units, as well as the units of Allied States.
