The municipality of Rezekne is implementing the project “Volunteering Cities +” in the territory OF THE Viļānu association. The aim of the project is TO create AN active population group OF Viļānos who will seek ideas and implement various volunteering activities IN THE Viļānu association, as well as promote cooperation between the local government and the population.

A small group of members can also improve day-to-day life IN Viļānos and neighborhood parish. We are invited to be part of this voluntary movement - to tell you your ideas and to participate in their implementation! In addition, within the framework of the project, the six best ideas selected by the participants will receive approximately 500 €funding for the purchase of materials.

Inspired by some ideas we have already received: the cleaning talc around the park oak Viļānos, the workshop “clothes for the second life”, the promotion of “toys”, the establishment of herbal cavities, the workshop of bird cages in spring.

The EUROPEAN Union URBACT project “volunteering cities” will be held until the end of 2022. Together with the municipality of Rezekne, partners from Portugal, Slovakia, Greece and Cyprus (leading partner) also participate in the project.
