Supported Kaunatas Catholic Church Facade Renewal Project

LAD East Latgale Regional Agricultural Administration has approved Kaunatas Catholic parish project “Restoration OF the facade of THE Catholic Church of Kaunatas” No. 22-01-AL15-a019 .2204-000002. The objective of the project to be implemented is the preservation of natural heritage and the improvement of the social tourism service. The project is supported under the Latvian Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, sub-measure 19.2. “Implementation of the action under the community-led local development strategy” 19.2.2. at the disposal of the “site potential development initiative” 2.4. In the 11 th round of the open competition issued by the association “Conservation of the Land of Rezekne”, “Conservation of Sakral Heritage”. IN the previous years, LEADER projects in THE Kaunatas church have changed the roof cover and renovation of the building's inner finishing and altar. As an innovative contribution - purchased and accessible to visitors interactive touch-sensitive screen with historical and informative material of the church, as well as to be placed in the Kaunatas-friendly Liturgic singing.

The realization of the project involves restoring and painting the facade of the church building. This cardinal will improve the visual image OF THE Kaunatas church and contribute to the attraction of tourist flows to the crude cultural historic building.

The total eligible cost of the planned project is EUR 56336,33 and the eligible costs of the project are EUR 50000, including public funding OF 90% - EUR 45000. The deadline for implementation of the project is May 2024.
