Writer Anton Rupains Museum in Berzgale has received funding from the State Culture Capital Foundation 2837.00 EUR a museum for the establishment of an open stock.

The museum holds 4556 units in the stock, of which 2781 units in the basic stock, 1775 units in the auxiliary stock. Most of the stock consists of written articles (documents, handwriting, books, printed works, correspondence) and audio-visual objects (photographs, photocopies). In contrast, the material objects (furniture, clothing, household articles, Latgale ceramics) and performing objects (Anton peel pastels – 16 pieces) make up only a small part of the stock because there are no suitable premises for keeping them, as well as one of the criteria for replenishment of the stock is the size of the object.

The microclimate of the auxiliary space of the existing stock is not suitable for the storing of the “Anton Rupains” cycle of THE “Anton Rupains” cycle. Therefore, part of MR A. 's work is deposited with the aesthetic design of the cultural house and parish administration rooms.

One of the recommendations of the Accreditation Commission for the development of the museum activity in 2019 was to take measures to ensure THAT THE RELEVANT climatic conditions of THE CABINET of MINISTERS were provided for the storage of the stock in a tailor-made auxiliary space. These conditions determine the need for a new stock room.

The municipality of Berzgales parish has found an opportunity to grant room for museum needs. It is intended to create this space as an open item that will be available to visitors in the presence of a museum employee. It will be a great opportunity for visitors to meet Anton's pastel cycle “Anton Rupains Land” because it is intended that 4-8 works will be exposed to the conquering system (with lighting), while the rest will be stored in the open plywood painting. The work exposed twice a year is intended to be changed to works stored on the plywood shelf. The same design with the painting will create a plywood shelf in the heating radiator. It will serve both as a cover for non-aesthetic radiator and as an exposed surface.

The final beneficiaries of the project are museum visitors who are interested in Latvia, Latgale, Berzgale, the history of their family, tourists, excursions, random visitors, including the school Youth, students of the pre-school educational institution, university students who attend the museum within the framework of the educational programme, cultural history and literature researchers.

The indirect beneficiaries are all residents of Berzgales parish (630 residents), Rezekne municipality, Latgale, Latvian residents.

The deadline for implementation of the project is December 2022.
