Open group house “CASTLE”
On 30 May, the door of the municipality of Rezekne was opened by the unit of the social service unit of the municipality of Rezekne “PILCENE”. The project is implemented within the framework of the deinstitutionalisation plan of Latgale Planning Region. People with mental disorders will be able to live in the group house. The service is expected to be used at the same time by eight persons. The first customers will settle with June.
The purpose of the project was to establish a society-based social service provision infrastructure for adult persons with mental disorders in the territory of Rezekne District. The group house “PILCENE” is located in the “Pilcene” area of the “Rēzekne District Social Care Centre”. Within the framework of the project, a single-storey building on the group apartment building was rebuilt.
Construction work was carried out by construction firm SIA “Rezekne Construction Service”, the total project costs amount to 282 124.90 EURO.
The premises shall be equipped with the necessary equipment to enable qualified professionals to provide a full service. It should be noted that this is the seventh group of groups in Latgale region, which has successfully launched its activities and will provide customers with a service that will be able to facilitate the day-to-day lives of their families.
The solemn discovery event was attended by both representatives of the Latgale Planning Region and THE Chairperson of THE Heads of Administration of THE Dricānu Association, Chair OF the Committee on Social and Health Affairs, Inta Brence, “Rēzekne District Social Care Centre” (SAC).
The established services provide an opportunity to provide social services to persons with mental disorders who have assessed and received a social rehabilitation plan in the project “Implementation of deinstitutionalisation measures in Latgale region” implemented by the Latgale planning region.
