Promotion of distance skiing and active lifestyle IN Sakstagala civil parish
Sakstagala parish and neighborhood residents will now be able to engage in skiing through the rural development of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) project No 13-01-LL23-l413201-000036. It was implemented by the association “Sakstagala parish women's club“ Significant ”“ the diversification of the rural economy and the promotion of quality of life in the area of implementation of local development strategies ”, in activity“ Purchase and installation of equipment, machinery, equipment, infrastructure technology and programme collateral, creation of infrastructure for the availability, quality and reach of services at the place of provision of services for local residents ”. The project was presented at the disposal of the Development Strategy of the Rēzekne District Communities“ support for the diversification of public activities to the local population ”.
The purpose of the project was to provide an opportunity for local residents to actively spend free time in the winter period, as well as to develop the availability and popularity of distance ski skiing IN the parish OF Sakstagala and its surroundings. In the course of the project, a snow motorcycle was purchased with the necessary equipment for the establishment of the distance ski route, these are – the trace blender and the classic football tractor. There are also 16 skiing stock sets (skis with fasteners, ski clubs and boots) so that the club ladies can take an active rest during the winter period. Also, students should be able to go skiing and enjoy winter joys, making sports hours more diverse. Thus, skiing IN Sakstagala parish will also be available to socially disadvantaged groups of people who lack resources for the purchase of equipment.
The total amount of the project is EUR 11367,74, of which EUR 11367,74 is eligible costs, of which the public funding of 90% is eur 10230,96. Co-financing of Eur 1136, eur 78 was provided by the municipality of Rēzekne Sakstagala parish.
