Z/s “New Jaunliepu” Rikava parish owner Lauris Jahems is a young but experienced farmer. After leaving school, he worked for some time in agricultural holdings abroad, but he decided to return and host his home, while he bought the money he earned, not a car, but a comma. The farm farm is engaged in dairy farming and grain farming, cultivating around 700 ha of land. Agricultural land is leased in various areas which fragmented the farm and make it difficult to develop. However, the young farmer is constantly looking for opportunities for improving work and expanding the farm by developing land-based areas. In 2012 Lauris Java implemented the project “Creation of a new company in Rezekne District” and acquired modern land-processing technique. Six investment projects have been implemented in total. In parallel to his work on the farm, Lauris is working as a fireman, with his wife raising two children and building a new house since last spring so that the family has a safe and stable nest.
SIA “Likkelet” Kaunatas parish was founded in 2008, but intensified activity in agriculture has been started over the last three years. The cultivation of cereals, as well as the treatment of overgrown agricultural land. Barley, rye, buckwheat, oats, beans, also red clover. The production is sold in both the local Latvian market and exports to Denmark, as the members of the company's board of directors come from Denmark. The total area of the property is 1250 ha, the third of which is agricultural land, a third of forests, while the rest is the overgrown land that is cleaned and cleaned. 7 people employed on the farm – head of the housekeeper, two deputy drivers, three tractors and one worker. EU support for the establishment of new forest stands in low-productive and hard-working agricultural areas will be received, birch and spruce will be planted there. The handling of land in the surrounding areas of the Razna area is not a minor concern. Since 2018, an environmental quality certificate has been granted to the company, indicating environmentally friendly farming.
Z/s “Elders” (Inga and Raimonds Luca) in the parish of Stalerova have formed on the land of the 90 s. Raimonda's grandfather's farm was also called “Elders.” There is a lot of alder, but the land is clay and not so fertile, but the farm is well-copied, modern and, compared to the time of the First Free State, has expanded considerably. The total agricultural area is 260 ha, of which 200 ha is sown with cereals, 40 ha grasses, 20 ha of clover. At first, a variety of sectors, including livestock farming, have been tested, but they are later assured of the benefits of specialisation. Currently, the z/s “Elders” specialises in the cultivation of cereals and grassland seed as well as certified seed. Investments are linked to THE implementation OF EU projects, both in construction and in the purchase of agricultural machinery. The entire production cycle is provided by the local workers at the time of the seasonal work. Only the master, or his brother, is sitting on the modern combay. Counseling is not affected by the new generation of the rich family, several of whom have chosen to study agriculture. In 2018, the holding received A A/S “credit bureau” certificate with a certification that the z/s “Elders” is a high creditworthiness assessment. It should be noted that strict certification standards only correspond TO 5% from Latvian companies.
