Possibility to apply for aid in forestry
From 1 April 2019 to 7 May 2019 The Rural Support Service (LAD) announces the application for aid in the three sub-measures of the measure “investments in the expansion of forest areas and improvement of forest viability” in three sub-measures for the total public financing of more than eur 7 million.
- Sub-measure “Forest rearing” it will be possible to apply for forest harvesting and care activities, as well as for replenishment and co-operation of grown forest stands. The total available funding is €1.989 million.
- Sub-measure Restoration of forest fires destroyed in forest fires and natural disasters aid shall be granted for reforestation in areas where a fire or natural disaster (wind, wind, snow and ice damage) has been detected in accordance with the opinion of the State Forest Service, due to which the forest stand has been destroyed, so the forest shall be renewable in this area. The total available funding is €1.067 million.
- Sub-measure “Investments to improve the resilience and environmental value of forest ecosystems” the aid shall be granted for the rearing of young generations, replacement of non-productive forest stands, replacement of the dominant tree species in balloon species in forest stands from 30 years of age or dense species in forest stands. The total available funding is €4.051 million.

The deadline for the implementation of the projects submitted in the round shall be 1 September 2023.
Project applications shall be submitted by MEANS OF a LAD electronic login system or in conformity with the electronic documents law, or in personal LAD regional agricultural administrations or LAD central apparatus at the Customer Service Centre of the Ministry of Agriculture in Riga, Republic of Republic 2, 2 nd floor lobby (tel. 67095000).
Funding is allocated to the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and rural development programmes (RDP).
