In Memorandum: May Bodge (29.4.1958 – 07.09.2018)

On Friday, September 7, after a serious illness from us, a businessman, z/s “mint”, landed in May Bodge.
The birthday of May was born in Bauska, and later years of childhood and youth took place in the Madona municipality, Mötriene parish (where the name of z/s mint comes) and Viļānos. Graduated FROM Viļānu High School. She had a cook and a cooking skills from her mother and grandmother.
As of December 1991, together with her husband, Evald May, she landed in the farm “mint” AT Sakstagala parish in Laizāns village. In their organic farm - mixed farming (cropping and livestock farming) - the meat products grown and produced were popular not only in the local area but also in Riga, Daugavpils and other cities. In 2016, the farm received a prize for “Rezekne Municipality 2015” in the nomination “annual domestic producer”. Maija had much to do not only in the diversification of products but also in the diversification of economic activities, offering services such as the reception and catering of tourists. But the thread broke off and the dreams remained halfway.
