On August 11, a centenary green-ball was released in Berzgale.
Hundreds of days before the centuries of Latvia's hundreds of birthdays in 140 places in all Latvian provinces, as well as in the world (Russia, the province of Omsk district in Augustbebra village, and Ireland) in hills, sea and river banks, landfill lakes, parks and meadows took place centenary green-balls.
In the birthday, this historic green-ball was honored to play children in Harry, Edgar and Andris (the group “lake”). The weather was not favourable to the party, but there was a large number of different ages of different ages in the cultural house.
The Latvian People's dancus – spine, OiRA, pork drum, krakovjack and others – are defeated in the meantime and traditional dancing.
The green-white tradition in Latvia has been well zināma since mid-19.gs.

In the summer of 1936-1940, i can tell you that they were just like today - Bērzgales in the Peninsula. Young people (20 to 40 years of age) came to a half-island with two wheels from a large surroundings. One younger boy was hired by a bicycle supervisor for a small fee. The guards and guards stood at the gate of the half-island, watching that everything be complete. The ball had to come to the soldiers. The men who came there couldn't be even drunk. No smoking in the dance area. If he wanted to smoke, he had to go beyond the gate. The music of the local guard orchestra was heard far across the lakes. The music listened to everyone, like big and small. The small (up to 19 years) on the balls were not thinking, because the great would have ridiculed that it would be better not to come from home. A full-time man in Latvian times was only when he had reached the age of 21. I remember, my brother Stanislav and Sister Zofy left, but i wanted it, but i couldn't. When he came home in the morning, he said delightedly how he had gone. The balls played up to the morning light.
Over time, the development of the green logs has been significantly affected by the development of the music industries. They don't play orchestra, chapels. They have been replaced by records, loudspeakers, amplifiers, dic rhythms. The dance repertoire changed. But the tradition is not broken, it continues to live.
