Participants of the competition “erudites” go excursion to Estonia
On 7 June, by shining the bright sun, the participants of Rezekne and Viļānu, the participants of the school competition “eruditis”, as usual every year, went to excursion – this time to Estonia.
The trip started with the big Munamseli. Remembering ST. Streich's “limousine in Jāņu Night” Lāsmina's request, “Eric, take me to Munamseli!” we went to the top of the hill, where the 29 m high tower was waiting for us. Although the top of the tower was windy, it did not interfere with the magnificent panorama that looked at our view.
The center of the ice age was waiting for us. All the impressive animal figures, especially Mamuts, were arranged in various places in three floors of the centre. Here young people were able to find answers to many questions in different interactive ways. Where did the last mouths of Europe live? What traces have left the ice age in Estonia's natural and heritage culture? Is the world moving to a new ice age or will an irreversible global climate warming continue?
The last stop of the trip was the AHHAA science centre, which offered a lot of activities that young people could enjoy after the heart of the heart, as well as to visit the scientific theatre and look at the world-famous exhibition “Ahhaa, human bodies!”. This exhibition is literally imported into the human body, covering more than 150 organs and human body parts. The exhibits are real human bodies, which have been preserved with the help of a unique method - plastics.
Despite the little fatigue, we returned to positive emotions at home.
Thank you for your support for the municipality of Rezekne, which could have been the result of this excursion and could be enjoyed by all participants in the “erudites” competition.
