Kuldīga and Rezekne - seminars on EU fund support for practical orientations

The Central Finance and Contract Agency (CFLA), with seminars in Kuldīga and Rezekne, continues a seminar cycle on scientific institutions and the support of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) available to merchants for practical orientations. 
By launching a selection of projects on the support of the European Union (EU) Funds for practical orientations in the 2 nd round of this programme, the seminar cycle CFLA started in June with a seminar in Riga. Seminar will be held for stakeholders in Kurzeme region 25 July in Kuldīgawhile in Latgale region: On July 31, Rēzekne. A re-seminar in Riga is planned to be organized in August.
Seminars will provide useful information for project applications, as well as answers to project applicants. Information on the venue of the seminars, agenda and logon for their visit - OFLA website section “Measures.
This EU fund programme in the second round of selection the total available public funding is €25 million, from which ERDF funding is more than €19.2 million. Scientific institutions and merchants may qualify for public co-financing up to €600 000 for practical orientations for research.
The aid is provided for the implementation of both non-economic activities and projects relating to economic activities by distinguishing between ERDF financing for each type of project of more than 9.5 million. For the non-economic project, the maximum public funding intensity is 92.5 per cent, consisting of the State budget aid intensity of 34,7% and THE ERDF aid intensity of 57,8%. For projects related to economic activity, the maximum amount of public financing is 25 – 70 per cent and is determined according to the activities envisaged in the project and the type of project applicant.
Project applications are accepted by this year 3 September.
Within THE FRAMEWORK OF THE EU funds programme, research projects that contribute to the development of the economic transformation and growth priorities identified by the Smart Specialisation Strategy of Latvia and the development of such specialisation areas: knowledge-intensive bioeconomy, biomedicine, medical technology, biopharmaceuticals and biotechnology, smart materials, technologies and engineering systems, smart energy as well as information and communication technologies will be supported.
