Lāčplēsis Day event in Kaunas
On the evening of November 11, a solemn event was held at the Kaunas People's House dedicated to Lāčplēsis. We looked at historical facts over the course of the events. The solemn speech was said by the Kaunas parish council Harald Brock, the Kaunatas High School pupils and the head of the National Guard's 36 th Battalion Support Batalion, Captain Ervin Mukāns.
Lāčplēsis's Day is not just the testimony of the past: that is the day when we honor each of our soldiers in a true respect. We have a nice tradition and a very good collaboration with the National Guard's 36 th fighting battalion soldiers. Thank you for your presence in our events, thank you for your patriotism and self-enthusiasm, strengthening the security of our country and citizens!
After the solemn speeches, we went into a torch of torches that ended in the Kaunas erection. All the soldiers who had fallen in battle with silence, and the 36 th battalion soldier of the National Guard fired the memorial soldiers.
There was no fire and patriotic songs. There was a chance to ask questions about the Army's life. Lāčplēsis's evening at the fire was not conceivable without a soldier's meal, so everyone had the chance to taste the soldier and tea.
Lāčplēsis's Day succeeded. We had both historic memories and learned a lot of new army life.
Thanks to Kaunata's congregation, Harald Brok, the 36 th Battalion soldier of the National Guard, and the head of the National Guard's 36 th Battalion Support Battalion, Captain Erwin Mukane, the Kaunatas High Schools and the cooks, the Kaunas People's House folklore, and all the attendants for participation in this remark event.
