Latvian National Guard 3 will be held in Latgale. Latgale Brigade Training
The National Guard 3 will be held in the south-east of Latvia from 18 to 21 March. Military training of the Latgale Brigade, during which all six brigade battalions will improve their capacity to supply units.
The attention of the people!
In training, soldiers and national guardsmen will move through shared roads with military trucks. Temporary interruption of transport traffic. No ammunition will be used during the course of the training, and the national guardsmen will perform tasks with owners in previously agreed areas. The area used after training will be cleaned if necessary.
The National Guard calls on the people not to worry about the movement of soldiers and to be treated with awareness of ongoing training aimed at improving national defence capabilities.
On the National Guard
The National Guard is an opportunity for every Latvian citizen to acquire military basic skills, useful knowledge and skills necessary to protect his family and defend Latvia in a crisis situation. At the same time, the National Guard has an opportunity to improve his overall physical fitness, as well as to expand his vision by participating in military exercises throughout Latvia and abroad.
The National Guard shall not be separated by gender, nationality, education, speciality or experience. The candidate must be a Latvian citizen from 18 to 55 years of age, with national language knowledge at least average (B1) level, with the state of health and physical fitness appropriate to the National Guard.
