Latvia's hundredth birthday was also celebrated IN Čornajas parish. Each day they celebrate their traditions, but in order for the village population to have a sense of husbandry and belonging to the country, festive events were organised in Chornie. Even the damp weather did not interfere with the festival.
The celebration of the country's birthday began with the traditional torch from the library to the People's house. This move was organised BY THE librarian of THE Čornajas Library Sylvia Decsne.
The event continued AT Čornajas in the People's House. The people of the lobby could take a picture of Retro's photo in the corner, which was analogous to what was 100 years ago.
The order started with beautiful poetry words. Two videos were shown to the present. In a couple of minutes, the history of Latvia's 100 years was shown, and in the second, the greetings of the people of different nationalities and associations about Latvia. Oļegs Kvitkovskis, head of the parish administration of Čornajas, said the festive part of the festival. They were then honoured by the people who had made their unselfish work in public and cultural life. Warm words and thanks were given to those villages who actively participate in the lives of the People's House.
In these festivals, THE Čornajas People's House was given special gifts – electric piano. A high-quality musical instrument can be used in concerts and at various events. The piano's sound was shown by Dace Baltfoe, head of the People's House, playing a beautiful sound.
As a result of the concert, the people with their voice were pleased by the long-standing Latvian singer Victor Zemgals. He did both familiar and new songs.
The celebrations of Latvia's birthday ended with celebration of the festival, a joint birthday singing and wishes for Latvia.
