“Latvian School Finish” activities in Dricana Secondary School and High School of Dricans in New Virgin School

By engaging in the “Latvian School Finish” initiative, the School of the High School of Dricans and the High School of Dricans, Jaunjjan elementary school pupils, were active in the 1 st semester of 2022/2022. and continued to know Latvia, its culture, history and traditions.

The smallest students of the Drucane High School watched the animation film “golden horse” produced by director Reiņa Kalnaella. The story of the film: The black mother is trying to grab power over the world, the sadness of the sadness, and the tears from everyone who cries for failures, misfortunes, and depetrators. The old witch wants to kill the princess because then the whole kingdom and the black mother would have an absolute power. When the kingdom goes out the forest, the witch captures her and turns the princess into the glass coffin. The defender of life - the white father enters the road and creates an impossible storey and a high ice mountain that will save the princess from the Black mother for seven years and seven days. Meanwhile, the courtiers can save the princess! After watching the film, the kids shared the impression of what they had seen. When they talked about the main idea, how the light could win the darkness, or how the good winning the evil, the children drew the illustration of the story, the image or the brightest, as they seemed to be, the story of events. The children remembered the fact that the first artist drawings for the movie were 10 years ago. A children's drawing exhibition “GOLDEN HORSE” was presented in the class.

Class 4 students went to Varakalans to meet the exhibitions located in the Museum of Varakleans. At first, the guide was accompanied by an excursion on the Palace of Varakalans, then followed by a familiar, adventurous journey with runways, during which we met the sites of the city's cultural heritage and their significance today (the sun clock, the Varakalian symbols - the fox, the church, the tombs). Later in the park, activities were offered - the shooting of the circle, the route across the river. The students listened with interest to the narrative of Count Borg and his family, watching the photographs that Varakalans looked earlier, then driving with the runways on the pictures seen in the photographs, watching the changes they had made.

The School of New Virgin School of Dricans visited the Castle of Cesvaine and its park. There are renovation works at the Palace of Cesvaine, so there was no room for pupils to enter the castle. However, the sincere lesson in the guide was not disappointing, as the pupils learned many facts about the construction and restoration process of the palace. It was an opportunity to feel the people of the palace of the palace and play the cricket.

In the Madona Municipal Research Museum, pupils participated in the museum pedagogical lesson “small archaeologist” where students had the opportunity not only to see museum exhibits about Latgale cultural heritage, but also to feel the role of archaeologist, to explore archaeological findings and to present them. Both classes were very valuable because the knowledge acquired could be used in Latvian history and social sciences and history hours, learning to study and talk about their native place.

Students of classes 5, 6 and 8 chose to visit Daugavpils municipality research and art museum. The museum giddled and showed the exponents and ran through the art medicine. The pupils were very impressed by the presence of skeletal, its height, wealth, age (age when excavated), the presence of modern technology - interactive puzzle – historic photo assembling, listening to the oldest music apparatus, and trying to start, taking part in the hat show – by adapting and copying the photo, listening to the story of money, enjoying the smell of the churches (Orthodox, Catholic) and the aura. The Siberian story was highly addressed by the pupil, as well as the grass where the world of animals could be confronted. After the attendance of this museum, there was a discussion between the pupils and the time-counting skills were refreshed.

On the other hand, the 7 th pupils had the opportunity to visit Latgale embassy “Gors”, the children watching the play - the new Latvian comedy “tislenes”. Many pupils said very much about the film, they seemed to be excited, because it was shown how the main character Sarmite had survived what her appearance was, trying to resist and imitate others who were neither easy nor necessary. Each of us is unique and special, only to come to this knowledge. The pupils also saw the importance of friendship and friends. The part certainly noticed the similarities with what was happening in the school or society. As the Ghane of the film was a comedy, it was easy and interesting to look. The students seen can be used in the learning process, planning a scenario, creating illustrations and comics, and analysing their emotions and relationships with friends, classmates, and family. You can definitely create a discussion in both social sciences and class hours. After the film, students had the opportunity to learn about the construction of Latgale embassy, to find out why the building was used as a color gamma, as the scandinavian and industrial style found in the design of space and furniture. Students could be invited to the premises that are usually not available to “Gora” visitors. After the film and excursion, “Gore” students attended a museum pedagogical program “or better?” The museum of Latgale cultural history. When working with Lego constructors, students had to judge and find the best and quickest solutions to the situation. The ability to work in a team, to cooperate with one another, and to make a logical assessment of the situation, was very important. This kind of lesson develops critical thinking, promotes creativity and skills in different groups and under different conditions. Many pupils had difficulty working on specific instructions, follow instructions, and split their responsibilities to do more quickly. The experience gained will be used both in the field of training and in the field of robotics. This kind of lesson certainly develops creativity and allows you to provide solutions to your situation.
