Restore or replace windows

The construction board of the municipality of Rezekne informs that the construction intention documents are not necessary for the renovation and replacement of building windows (except architectural and urban construction monuments), if conformity is ensured with the picture of the front of the building (window division and proportions, frames and the painting and terrain of the window elements visible from the outdoor window).

When changing the windows of buildings in the territory of the historical centre and the protection zone thereof, a certification card is not necessary if information has been submitted to the building authority, which is accompanied by a sketch or passport with an explanatory description, which has been signed by a construction specialist in the field of architecture (certified architect) in order to ensure compliance with the requirements referred to above.

Similarly, the construction intention documents are not necessary if the construction of a residential building for glazing (except the State protected cultural monuments) is intended, without changing the location of the exterior walls, if a decision has been submitted in the construction board regarding the admissibility of the glazing of the conspiracy in accordance with the procedures laid down in the Housing Property Law and the design of a harmonised visual appearance of the building and the sketch or passport of the relevant facade bulkhead, or a passport with an explanatory description.

If the change of all windows is provided for in a State protected cultural monument, a certification card must be submitted to the building authority for the simplified reconstruction of the facade and the permit of the National Cultural Heritage Administration.
