Visit of Luznava Manor under the “Latvian School Finish” programme

One of Latvia's musical pearls – Luznava Manor – is located near Kaunatas High School. So in December, students of Class 8a, under the direction of teacher Solvita Meļņichenko, went there. The excursion took place through the manor building and the park area in the guide of the gym-storyteller.
For the excursion to be more interesting, worksheets were distributed to pupils with pictures showing the various items that had to be found during the excursion. This encouraged more interest in the story. During the excursion, the pupils knew the musical style, the history of the manor, the parish history, the seat of the bats, etc. It was followed by an exciting environmental consciousness game “manor bats' life mission”. The game provides two options: the long option where performance tasks – finding objects in nature have been supplemented with extensive information about 30 natural sites of Luznava Park, and the short-lived version of the game, which includes activities around 10 Luznava nature objects and is intended for team competitions. The pupils used the first chance. 3 teams were created. The game is designed for stakeholders of different ages, with the aim of enabling environmental awareness in the form of a game to explore the natural values of the manor park, their importance in environmental protection and preservation, learning skills in the vicinity. The game also teaches the map.
In the graphic workshop, under the direction of the artist Jana Indrčanes, students learned the ancient graphic technique, engaged in creative activity, created a unique Souvenir for their own hands, which could be taken as a memorial.
