Training seminars on the development of entrepreneurship and innovation
Latgale Planning Region “Strengthening capacity of the programme co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Instrument and institutional cooperation between Latvian and Norwegian state institutions, local and regional authorities” within the framework of the project “Implementation of regional policy activities in Latvia and development of regional development activities” training seminars Representatives of local governments of Latgale planning region, business advisers of Latgale planning region, entrepreneurs, higher education institutions, representatives of scientific institutions etc. Seminars onelapsed between 26 August 2014 and June 2015.
Mācpurpose of the activities is vpromote entrepreneurship and innovation development, activate local resources and local partnerships between entrepreneurs, municipalities, higher education institutions, science institutions and planning regions, as well as strengthen local government capacity in the field of entrepreneurship promotion.
SEMINAR TOPICS AND LOCATIONS:
| 1. | Establishment of a local food aid system (8 hours) motivation of the creation of local product support systems; the ability of citizens to participate in the local support system for economic growth; Development opportunities for local food production in the context of rural development policy; establishment of a local food production and supply support system; product of local identity. |

| 3. | How to get funding from investors where to find them (6 hours) What is the benefit of private financial investors; how to find private financial investors and how to present their business or business ideas; which are expected by financial investors; from which to be careful in negotiations with potential financial investors; what are the risks in agreement with private financial investors; how not to sell the company too cheap etc. |

| 4. | Which a local government can provide to a company/as a self-government to co-operate with entrepreneurs (6 hours) The importance of regular municipal meetings with entrepreneurs. Whether or not to form a business in the council of the Council; what questions can be influenced by entrepreneurs in local governments; what functions may be delegated to entrepreneurs by the local government; organising joint events, seminars, exchange visits; examples of good practice of cooperation in different municipalities etc. |

Working language of the seminar - Latvian. Catering will be provided during the seminars. Preliminary number of participants - 20 persons per seminar.
Participation in a seminar free of charge, as the seminar is paid from the project “Implementation of regional policy activities in Latvia and development of regional development measures” No. 4.3-24/NFI/INP-001.
