On October 4, on a warm and sunny Sunday, a Miķelday celebration took place at THE sports area at Griškānu parish.
The event leaders were a crow (Griškānu parish cultural event organizer Inna Sealgicka) and bird bier (Griškānu parish cultural house dramatic collective “Aizspogulija” manager Inara Daugule). During the event, the crow and the bird frightener checked the performance of the visitors. There was a team competition in which the participants were divided into teams, and the teams had to repair the vegetables as soon as possible.
The fun was also created in the Ghost's image. One member was chosen as a ghost and dressed in the Ghost's dress. His task was to catch the other members who had been caught, the next thing to be a ghost.
During the event, visitors could not only move and show their agility but also be creative. Creative workshops took place during the celebrations. The task of the participants was from the materials offered (for vegetables: carrots, potatoes, courgettes, cucumbers; matches and chestnuts) to create a shape/composition. A boat with oars, a horse, cat, and other shapes was created. Another creative task was the candlelight. Visitors made bright, different candles.
