Winner in the category “annual company” - Guest house “SVILPAUNIEKI” (video) - a family company providing accommodation services since 2019. 8 good-sorted rooms are offered where 24 persons can be accommodated with convenience, but up to 50 persons are provided. The guest house is set up to be maximum autonomous so that visitors can enter the building without the presence of owners or employees, thereby relieving the financial flows of the guest house from the employee's duty. Guests are assigned a unique combination door code after the booking is paid, which runs during a specific reservation, so that visitors can feel the maximum time in the clock and sign-out time frame.

The guest convenience takes place with Jekaterina Vilnius – a cook from an adjacent village whose guests provide breakfast. Such a collaboration is very convenient and useful because most guests want to hold breakfast in a guest house or even next to Luznava Manor. For example, on August 14, 2019, the President of Latvia, Egils Levits, was visited by the President of Latvia and representatives of the President's office, but the breakfast was preserved in Luznava Manor. Kaspars graduated in the speciality of the Rēzekne Technology Academy in speciality mehatronica, and the knowledge acquired allows himself to deal with technical repair. Caspar works in close tandem with his father, Arti Vaivoda, who owns SIA “ammunition forest” and who provides his son with logging services.

The cooking of sweets was taken by Wales for some time before the establishment of the company, but it was a real belief in this idea and its viability, helped to win the “countryside” competition organised by the Latvian Rural Consultation Centre (LLC) in 2018. The expert support, the Council and the encouragement received during the kon-course, as well as the resulting cash prize used for the purchase of equipment and equipment, gave the opportunity to raise the quality of the sweets produced at a higher level.

As many children are experiencing difficulties in the trees, the wall is an alternative because even an active fifteen-year-old can climb. The company has new high-quality alpine equipment, both the iekares system and the “Clic-it” carabine, which is a demonstration of higher safety.

Young entrepreneurs raise three children of pre-school age, study at the Rēzekne Technology Academy and have a patriote of their own.

Visitors, especially children, are attracted to the Ettoma rabbit farm, the possibility of feeding them, patting them and keeping them in their lap. In 2019, “Ettomy houses” began to offer catering services – meals are given thin pancakes with different fills, potato pancakes, vegetable steam. It also offers to purchase commemorative souvenirs – self-prepared hangings from Razna lake stone and shells.

“Itkaču home” is shared by spouses, as well as both their children. The farm is constantly evolving, and new services are offered, which are provided in a qualitative and always friendly atmosphere. In order to achieve a more rapid development of the farm, various projects are also implemented, for example, in 2015, a rabbit cage, a repair room for rabbits, as well as a few rabbit varieties were built with THE funding of the PROJECT supported BY LEARN.

The activities of the company are based on a meaningful, systematic, motivated and development-driven work. In order to develop entrepreneurship, a production base – modern machinery and equipment – is fully provided on the farm. This gives an incentive to the employees of the company to work responsibly and financially. With pride, they tell the story of the success and the work they have done. In order to increase the efficiency of production, a grain of grain has been built, a technical area, built-in repair shops. The development of “flames” was facilitated by participation in six EU projects. Implementation OF THE EAFRD project “Support for young farmers”, three modernisation projects and two LEADER projects. The farm has attracted a large volume of more than 200 000 EURO during its operation and continues to do so. The acquired modern technique creates a safe working environment, but the built-up large houses, which are also premises for cleaning and partial storage of grain grain, provide comfortable working conditions, enable machinery, equipment and products to be stored safely and thoughtfully. As a result of organic farming, an environmentally friendly agricultural production process is ensured: environmental pollution with harmful substances does not occur. Organic production is produced in the holding.

Valdis Zvejsalnieks, ZS “Solated Bay”

On the farm, the efficiency of production is increased, the volume and quality of the products produced as well as the safety of the work environment, which are very important in working with the technique.

Dairis Decrsnis, ZS “birds”

The company offers the manufacture of laser cutting and marking equipment. Currently, a CO2 laser/cutting prototype was developed in collaboration with RTA, THE IDAL innovation voucher programme. In parallel, a prototype of diode laser marking equipment was created in the company. Both machines are cured and orders are started.

In the service sector, the company currently offers laser-marking services and 3D print services that are sold to several 3D printers in the company. The co-operation partners also offer metalworking services: CNC milling, CNC swirling, electroerosion and CNC plasma cutting.

Gunar igram, SIA BALT HARMONIA

Winner in nomination “annual innovation implementer”. At SIA Balt Harmonia (video) Gaigalava you can always see something new and exciting. Arnis Petrovskis, organic farm “ancestors”

Winner in the category “annual family business” organic farm “ancestors” (video)  engaged in sheep pig (Mangalica) cultivation and disposal. There are four sows on the holding and around 25 piglets are sold per year. Grains and potatoes are cultivated for their holding and the grain is transferred to “Rezekne Dzirnavnieks”. There is one bovine animal in the holding. In 2013, the organic farm“ ancestors ”was established. Maria and John continue to do livestock farming, while the son Arnis Petrovskis grows and sells Mangalica sheep pigs. Arnis has written and submitted several projects, but unfortunately they were not supported. The young farmer kept his hands, but despite everything, he continues to buy all the necessary farm development for his earned funds, also attracting his brother Gunar (who is also a successful entrepreneur) and his parents' support. With the help of deep drilling, the owners have come to a new well, the necessary technique has been purchased, the construction of the manure has been started, the construction of a new barn has also been planned. All in this organic farm are active parish visitors and sponsors. They take part in all the parish and carry out organised events. Arnis has participated as a force in the days of the municipality. The owners of“ ancestors ”have always supported parish with their own production, they are among the largest parish sponsors. Arnis is very energetic, not afraid of risking, never complaining about life, persistent, helpful, positive Ozolmuiža parish.

Green grain of the nursery “Signagals” with daughter Mars grain

Green grain created by nursery “Signagals” (video)in which the ornamental trees and bushes of almost a thousand different names are grown, as well as more than 500 different types of ornamental plants and berries. Zaiga is doing significant work to adapt exotic plants to the climatic conditions of Latvia. Shoppers from all Latvia are transported to Signagala after rare and unusual plants. We have been working since May 2007 when we moved from Viļāniem to Signagal, starting from zero. Son Lauris and daughter were more teenagers, daughter Mara had already started her own life, daughter Ieva was already abroad. Soon Lauris started his own life... Years passed, Lauris worked abroad, returning to Latvia 5 years ago, working in our nursery; Mara lives in Vilnius and also runs to Signagala. She returned from abroad for a year and a half, living and working in Signagala. From my 8 grandchildren, 4 are already pupils and are also well-assisted in nursery work.

In the free time, Valdis painted, this hobby is since the age of youth, when the secondary school of Rezekne was graduated. Anita's hobby is young, and for several years she has been throwing both rags and other works. On the farm, a group of pupils who teach a variety of jobs often have a nice common time to spend time on pupils and tourist groups. Consequently, the winter is not a problem, the problem is rather wings for a thousand kilometres. The number of bees also plays a major role. The Queen cares about it, who is one of the only ones, but not the main. It's more interesting that bees never sleep, but they vibrate at low frequencies like meditation. The characteristics of the healing beekeeping production produced by 14 different bees are fixed in ancient people's testimony. Following the philosophers, poets, scientists and designers who find inspiration in the fascinating world, we also had the idea of creating a tourist object – a bee hotel. A rural house dedicated to the wonderful world of these natural animals in which people are charged and literally restored by the natural power of bees. The farmer is very concerned about the development of the dairy farming sector, not allowing milk to be reduced by producing high-quality feed and providing quality grazing.

The farm production base is supplemented and restored annually. Juris Garda did not hand his hands when the fire was happening, devastating the cakes. It was restored and upgraded by the installation of manure mechanised exportation and manure storage. Four EU projects have been implemented. In 2019, a new tractor was purchased by John Deere. Juris Garda says, “i could n't believe a couple of years ago that such big money would be shaken.” This means that the farm is being moved to development. 'All works are done in a timely and qualitative manner, the environment is always cleaned and delighted by passers.

The entire family is engaged in the economic activity of the company, successfully cooperating in three generations. As far as possible, Father Macol helps. Her daughter Victoria, the 7 th grade school student of Rezne's primary school, is obliged to prepare food and feed cows in milking times, as well as to help wipe the cows. The wife of Claudia has cows' milking, dairy preparation and many other works on the farm. The development of the company is based on the love of work, successful cooperation and dignity among themselves.

The delicious family participates in parish cultural events, daughter Victoria is an active participant in self-activity.

Martha Igaune,
ZS “family”

Farm “family” (video) is a farm created by gardening and vineyard Martha Estonia, with iz specialisation: wine-making from local raw materials. A garden for the extraction of fruit and berries, as well as a recreational place for the enjoyment of wine and talks on wine-making, was established in the recovered and briceless grandmother land. This year, the pond was cleaned and the resulting land was created for the planting of vine collections at a more suitable location, the groves covered in the grove. The contracted employees are parish residents, a seasonal field worker programme is also used. As the land is located at the edge of the Nagu – Iceland Road, the whole thing is noticed, and what one woman is able to create from a fully degraded area, in turn inspires and encourages local residents to search for their ideas and use their land resources to improve the quality of life.

Unfortunately, the land of the ancestors was recovered, without buildings, with unlocked electricity, so the harvested harvest is transported to the processing premises in Riga, where the “FAMILY WINES”, which are conveniently equipped in the winery, are placed back to Latgale in bottles. Much of the production is also available to customers in Riga and its surroundings at various exhibitions and events. In 2018, after the volume of marketed production, the z/s FAMILY was the 10 th largest (out of 85) in Latvia, which is the highest of Latgale winery.

Raw materials grown in the Nagu parish are used in the production of wines. “Family Wine” means a unique, qualitative, local product of particular added value. The housewife is actively thinking about development vision in the future – the possibility of carrying out the entire wine-making process in Nagles. There is an opportunity to apply for wine tasting visits.

“WINE OF THE FAMILY” has become a recognisable brand throughout Latvia, multiplying the name of Nagles parish and Rezekne.

The largest increase in jobs has been observed in this company – new jobs are created for 10 people. The harvesting company “chip PV” was founded just twenty years ago. It has also worked with wood processing during this period, but has focused on logging and timber transport for more than a decade. The company has stable growth, the machinery park is optimally complete and now the main focus is on increasing efficiency. The “particle PV” and the related companies employ around 90 workers.

The company's manager Peter Katkovskis is not afraid of the challenges: “the fact that some 60 percent of the people working in the forest have started to get out of zero.” We are not afraid of employees without experience – the main thing is that people want to work and learn. We are trying to ensure the best possible working conditions. The staff assesses that the technical park is regularly restored and sees that the company is investing in development. In addition, modern technology offers increasingly comfortable conditions for operators and drivers. I believe that we have a rather optimum technical park at present and only need to continue to improve the efficiency of the work. '
