Successfully works Maltas unit unit Maltas parish council. Its Head Juris Dombrovskis states: “we are the same people as the others who want to improve the living environment of both their own and the rest of the rural community through their activity.“ The Council's biggest advantage is that their members are the local population – precisely they are best known – they are interested in improving their populated area. Similarly, a significant contribution is given to “neighborhood” – often the citizens do not come to the Council meetings, but when they meet on the street, they tell their proposals. Maltas parish council is an excellent example of the dialogue between residents and local government – as MR Dombrovskis acknowledges, the Council evaluates the support of the leader of the Maltas association Edgars Blinovs. Even if citizens do not turn to the Council, they are heard in the local government. MR Dombrovskis, on the success of the Council, acknowledges the achievement of its objective – to ensure that citizens are heard and that their views and wishes are taken into account. The topics to be solved are the opening of the doctorate, the improvement of Maltas parish and the image of the Rēzekne municipality – when driving from Daugavpils side, Malta and its surroundings are the first image of the Rēzekne municipality, so it is important to organize the roads, surrounding areas and properties, and 1.
