In the celebration of the 100 th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, on 17 November, the Latgale Embassy GORE in the big hall in Rēzekne is the highest award – a recognition article. This year for special merit in the development of Rezekne municipality will be received by 20 inhabitants whose professionalism, integrity, creativity and activity are based on the growth and prosperity of Latvia. As usual, the candidates of the Rēzekne municipality council, the council of the municipality of Rēzekne, the heads of the municipality of Rēzekne, the heads of the local government administration, the heads of the local government institutions, the members of the board of directors of the local government capital companies, the advisory council of the municipality of Rezekne, as well as the council of the council of parish residents, were able to submit the documents to the applicants. This year, 33 residents of Rezekne municipality were invited to awards. The applications submitted were evaluated by the Commission of the Award of the Rēzekne District Council.
The silver coins of Latvia's bank collection will also be presented with the recognition articles. The festive concert will offer visitors an insight into the history of Latvia and Rezekne Municipality, the local-acting collective of Rezekne, but the special guest will be the winner of the 2018 big music prize, Leva Saliete and the group “runns”.
