Exhibition of the works of Ukrainian artist in the municipality of Rezekne municipality
On June 5, an exhibition of Ukrainian artist Lily Maliarova was opened - “Ukrainian national art. Petrikova painting technique (“ Украинское народное Искусство ”, техника“ Петриковская роспись ”). The opening event was covered by the performances of the musical ensemble Star – Girls. The exhibition will be held until July 9.
The painting was created by Petrikova's painting style, it is the ornamental painting style of the Ukrainian People's Decorative, which originated in the village of Petrikovka district of Dnepropetrovsk.
The artist herself pointed out at the opening event that she had a fresh air on her arrival in Latvia. The artist of this painting was inspired by the sadness of the Ukrainian, after the sun, as well as the Ukrainian struggle.
The artist Lily Maliarov thanked both Latvia and Rezekne for their support for the creation of the exhibition.
