The first experience of the Latvian Youth Basketball League is the first experience of the Rēzekne municipality.

“Balcia mini Cup” at Stage 1 basketball matches took place in Cēsis on December 4. 101 teams in the tournament from all regions of Latvia who will be in 3 stages.

The new basketball player of the Rēzekne municipality in 2012 (u-11) from Dricāniem resolutely went to Stage 1 games to win first experience in competitions. Before playing the team, the team took a basketball match and started a game with the scores. In the start-up game, the sports school team won the team of Livani children and youth sports school girls (33: 23). The second game expanded with Smiltene's sports school team, which he managed to win with a two-point overweight (28: 26). In the third game, fatigue was noticeable after the difficult games and had to join the team of Cēsis City's sports school with a score of 30: 40.
