Sorting right!

SIA “ALAAS '” invites residents to sort waste right and with awareness, the sorted materials can then be recycled. Waste sorting is an integral part of modern waste management - it is the separation of municipal waste from the types of waste that may be recycled. 

Currently SIA ALAAS offers a sorting of waste In 2 types of containers - light packaging and glass containers.

The sorted material does not have to be perfect for clean but must be clean from the previous filling residue. In order to ensure this, the package should be rinsed with a small amount of water after use, the label should not be removed. PET bottles should be flattened. The hard plastic should be flattened within the limits of possibilities.

In order to start sorting, neither a large kitchen or another room nor a number of containers are required – one bag, box, or bucket containing all sorting material is sufficient. Because the sorted packaging must be flattened and clean from the food residues, it will not take a lot of space and no smell. When the bag or bucket is complete, the accumulated material must be delivered to the sorted waste collection area or the sorting point.

It is recalled that:

1. sorting containers not to be disposed household waste, as well as batteries, medicaments and electrical goods;
