Meeting in Sherjan Library New Year's Sentiment
The new year is slowly taking turns, and, look, half the day of January is already recorded in history. In general, the first month of the year is still the time when “all ends” are drawn into the last year of the year. With such a thought in the “New Year of the Year” event, book friends and other stakeholders gathered in the Shergian Library.
Anne Esta, head of the bibiliotist, told her that the fountains, both children and adults, had been the readers of the books, newspapers and magazines that were true. 240 readers registered in the Shergana Library, which are a very good indicator for small parish, are also satisfied with the daily attendance of the library. It is pleasant that people find time and desire to come to the library today to enrich their spiritual world in terms of both knowledge and vocabulary and intellect.
What do people read? It is safe to say that all the literature genres. Some of the readers have been very popular with historical content books, classics (both Latvian and Russian), known encyclopedia, others like modern detectives or the so-called “one-night novel”. Many are looking for both magazines and special literature on health and healthy lifestyles. Similarly, the magazines that provide information about the garden world are very popular. Children shall select the reading substance for their age and interests respectively.
Stružānu parish manager Diana Saxon, who is also a large book reader and library attendant, said that she was pleased that people needed the library and the invaluable spiritual wealth they offered. The parish manager gave her gratitude and little vain to the most charming readers. The first place for the 589 editions was awarded to Janina Bikovskaya, second place (449 editions) – Valentine Richica, third place for 420 editions – Margarita Bondarenko. The gratitude was expressed in Janina Skrebelle, Janina and Inar Omui, Janis Machel, Rita Ribkins, and Lydia Macaliah.
The event was covered by the winner of the storyteller, the 8 th grade student of the New Junior School Elgars Razgalis, the individual song artist Martin Kirilko and the family duet – Momma League Chich with son Ginth.
The event grew warm and emotional, giving its participants a lot of positive moments. The new year in the life of the library will be a lot of interesting events, there will be new books, periodicals, and, of course, the reader's regiment will not change. To be a real reading joy for big and small!
