Uzsākts darbs pie ceļa zīmju uzstādīšanas latgaliešu valodā
Rēzeknes novada domes deputāti 15. jūnija kārtējā domes sēdē lēma atbalstīt priekšlikumu par ceļa zīmju Nr.750 – “Administratīvās teritorijas nosaukums” uzstādīšanu latviešu un latgaliešu valodā. Darbs pie zīmju uzstādīšanas ir sācies un pakāpeniski tās tiks uzstādītas visā Rēzeknes novada administratīvajā teritorijā. Kopumā tiks uzstādītas 30 ceļa zīmes, tostarp 12 jaunas.
The decision was taken in the light of the Latvian Historical Land Law, which stipulates that the State and the relevant local governments shall ensure the preservation and sustainable development of the Latgalian identity and cultural historical environment, including by promoting the acquisition of Latgalian language as a form of Latvian language, including educational institutions, and use in public events and day-to-day work, as well as by restoring and using local names in the Latgalese language, including in the guides, places and street names.
