The 130 th birthday of Valeria Seiles is an exhibition in Audiros
An exhibition dedicated to the 130 th birthday of Valeria Siles is seen on the walls at THE central entrance of THE Audriņu parish. It was created according to the “Valerija Seile (1891-1970) photographs, memories and facts” of the Zanes Stapkerwich presentation.
Valerie Seile was born on 22 June 1891 (after the old style of 11 June) at the current McKashan parish in Seychelles, a significant educational and social worker, bibliography and scientist. She was the first woman in Latgale to receive academic pedagogical education, one of the organisers of the historic Latgale Congress, a secretary of the Latgale Country Council, a member of the Latvian Constitutional Meeting, a member of the Minister of Education (1921-1922), the Director of the Latgale School of Tourism, and the Director of the Daugavpils teacher Institute (1923-1940), the editor of several periodicals and the author of the books. Died in 1970 in Riga, buried in Daugavpils Catholic graves. At the Latgale cultural history museum in Rezekne until July 4, THE exhibition “Events devoted to the Events” was dedicated to the Seiles.
