Dukstigal Sv. Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church
The church was mixed and restored. The present church was built in 1947 under the direction of Ludwig Krumpāns.
By 1960, there were two congregations: white Dukstigal (Šadurska) and black Dukstigal (Slobodska). In the White Dukstagala, the church was built in 1775. During the Soviet power of these churches, in 1960, he was confused, despite the fact that the building was an architectural monument - the oldest wooden church in Latgale (367 years old). The motivation for such action was that there should be no two churches in one of them, and there was only one church in Dukstigal.
The first wooden church of the black Dukstigal was built in 1776 and named for the honour of the Holy Tree. During the First World War, the church burned. This church was completely restored in 1827. After the First World War in 1922, Gabris started building a new wooden church in an old place, but during the Second World War this church burned.
The present church was built in 1947 under the direction of Ludwig Krumpāns. First of all, he bought a small house for the money he had donated, and he was brought to the black Dukstigal, where a new building was built on the burnt churches.
In 1964, the white Dukstigal family moved to the black Dukstigal Friend. The Church of the Black Dukstigala (now simply Dukstigala) is Rēzekne decanate.
