The Roman Catholic Church of St. Apostles Simon and Judas of Prezma

The church was built in 1856-1859 and a village of the same name was built around it.

The first was a wooden church, built in 1781 by Francis Sokolovskis. It was located in the Soltāni manor. In 1858, this church was demolished, and a year later a brick church with 2 towers was built in its place. Bishop A. Simons consecrated the newly built church in 1897 in honor of the apostles Simon and Jude. During the time of Dean Pēteris Andžāns (1975-1986), in 1974, a chapel was arranged in one of the church sacristies, an altar was built, a holy image was built into the altar, and major improvement and reconstruction works were carried out.

At first, Prezma had been a branch of the Feimaņu parish, only later to become an independent parish. (Sville, 1995)
