In 2014, the farm was awarded the cultural mark "Latvian heritage" for the preservation of Latvian cultural and household heritage.

“Lavandrūtas” is a new small-scale farm located in the village of Dekteri, Nautrēni Parish, where three varieties of lavender are grown on a 0.7-hectare plot. The first lavender plants were set out in 2021, and the field is now home to approximately 6,000 lavender bushes. In July—the peak of the lavender blooming season—the field is open to visitors who wish to enjoy the magnificent sight of the landscape bathed in velvety blue-violet hues. It is a wonderful spot for photoshoots, a place to savor peace and beauty, and a setting where one can listen to the gentle buzzing of bees. Lavender bouquets are available for purchase at “Lavandrūtas.” Plans are also underway to produce essential oil and other lavender-based products in the near future. See you in July!
