Achievements of Vilnius sports school students in athletic athletics

In the summer period, in keeping with THE regulations in force in the country “epidemiological security measures for restricting the spread of Covid-19 infection”, Vilnius sports school athletes participated in several athletic competitions in Latvia. In competitions, students of sports school acquired both prizes and experience for future competitions.

26.-27.06.2021. Zemgale Olympic Centre stadium held “Latvian Championship 2021” in athletics – in a multi-fight U-20 age group, there was a large number of participants in competitions - 601 athletes. 30.06.2021. “LVS/Maxima Youth Cup IN THE U-16 age group” took place at the Ogres municipality stadium. The students of the Vilnius Sports School started 200 m and bullets in tough disciplines. The school was represented by: Arvis Betlers, Madara Skangale and Alīna Saprovska. See the focus of the competition HERE

Ogre Stadium 02.-03.07.2021. the Latvian Championship was athletic in two age groups – junior (U-20) and young people (U-18), a large number of participants participated in competitions. Marita Wulane (U-20) and Simon Prikule (U-20) represented Vilnius sports school. See the focus of the competition HERE

06.07.2021. The Varakļana Secondary School Stadium took place in the “Introductory Sports School Competition for Eleatics 2021”. Lightweight start: 200 m running, 800 m running, high jump, high-jumping, bullet shooting and spear-laying disciplines. “Madara Skangale (U-16), Alīna Saprovska (U-16), Liana Smirnova (U-16), Selena Maria Astachova (U-16), Arvis Betlers (U-16), Eduards Fomins (U-16), Simon Prikule (U-20) and Marita Vulane (U-20) participated in the competition from Vilnius sports school.

• Madara Skangale won 2 nd place in 200 m running (28.4 sec) and 3 rd in high-speed (4.78 m).

• Alīna Saprovska won 3 rd place in the 200 m run (28.8 sec) and 2 nd place in the hunting (28.9 m).

• Liana Smirnov won 2 nd place (1.25 m). Arvis Bettler won 2 nd (4.85 m) in the distance. In THE U-20 age group, Simon Prikule won 2 nd place in 200 m running (27.2 sec) and 1 st in high jump (5.19 m). Marita Wulane won 2 nd place in high jump (1.6 m).

07.07.2021. “Gulbenes municipality's Open Light Athletic Championship 2021” was held at the Gulbenes municipality. Competitions took place in the following age groups: U-14, U-16, U-18, U-20/adults, seniori/res V/S 35 +. Vanesa Victoria Zaicev, Selena Maria Astashaw, Jana Sterre, Victoria Vita Straujupe, Tatjana Buienvironment and Nika Markelova.

IN THE U-16 age group: Arvis Betlers, Artis Zvdrins, Valters Malta, Aduards Fomins, Alīna Saprovska and Liana Smirnov. Adriana Tumane was started IN THE U-18 age group. Marita Wulane and Simon Prikule participated in the adult age group.

• Alīna Saprovska won 3 rd place in the 100 m run (14.41 sec) and 1 st place in the hunting (26.83 m).

• Liana Smirnov won 3 rd place in the long jump (4.54 m). Marita Wulane won 3 rd place in high-jumping (4.39 m). Simon Prikule won 2 nd place in high-jumping (4.85 m), 1 st place in bullet (9.18 m) and spear throwing (32.44 m).

15.-16.07.2021. “Latvian Championship IN THE U-16 age group” was held at the Ogre stadium. Sports school students participated in speeches, high-jumping, 200 m and 100 m running disciplines. 20.-21.07.2021. The Preiles Sports School stadium took place in THE “Premier Leave Awards U-20”, in these competitions the Vilnius was represented by Simon Prikule. In the seventeen, Simon Prikule won 3 rd place 4432 points (100 m/b – 15.92 sec, high jump – 1.55 m, bullet shooting – 8.57 m, 200 m running – 27.08 sec, jumping – 5.11 m, spear throwing – 32.75 m, 800 m running – 2:23, 95 min).

22.07.2021. “Ogres Municipality Sports Centre open competitions u-10 and u-12 age groups” took place at the Ogres municipality stadium. Victoria Vita Straujupe, Selena Maria Astashaw, Linda Malinovsky, Vladislava Brovchenko and Liene Malinovsky participated in the competition. 24.07.2021. The Baldones stadium took place at Stage 3 OF THE LVS/SPORTLAND CUP. Marita Wulane and Simon Pricule represented Vilnius in these competitions. Simon Prikule won 3 rd place in the 800 m run (2:18, 41 min.). Information and results on competitions can be viewed HERE

13.08.2021. The Preiles BJSS stadium took place at the “Preilu District Championship for adults and youth 2021”, with Marita Wulane, Adriana Tumane, Arvis Betlers (U-16), Valters Malta (U-16) and Eduards Fomins (U-16).

Marita Wulāne won 2 nd place in 100 m running (14.32 sec) and high jump (1.50 m), 3 rd place in high-jumping (4.50 m). Arvis Bettler won 1 st place in 100 m running (13.42 sec) and 2 nd in high jump (5.04 m). Valters Malta won 2 nd place at 1500 m running (5:13, 67 min.). On the other hand, Eduard Fomin won 1 st place in the hunting (30.81 m).
